The Background
As part of The Møller Centre's 20th Anniversary a team of
adventurers will attempt to cycle 700 miles from Copenhagen to Cambridge.
The team will set off on the 1st June hoping to raise over £10,000 for East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH).
The team, consists of:
Mark "who talked me into this" Carberry (Head of Sales & Marketing)
Stefan "routemaster" Mitham (Key Account Manager)
Mark "the dart" Campbell (Guest Services Manager)
Mike "the trike" Herriot (Technical Services Assistant)
The Moller Centre will also host a charity auction on Monday 14th May to help raise money towards the campaign. Anyone wishing to donate items/gifts/experinces should contact: jessica.edwards@chu.cam.ac.uk
The Maersk Mc-Kinney Møller Centre for Continuing Education was built with a gift to Churchill College, Cambridge. The money was donated by the A.P. Møller & Chastine Mc-Kinney Møller Foundation, a Danish institution, set up in 1953 by shipping magnate A. P. Møller. The Foundation makes contributions to good causes, especially those involving national heritage, shipping, industry and science..........hence the reason we are setting off from Copenhagen!!!

Why EACH?
East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) supports families and cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex. We provide care and support wherever the family wishes – in families’ own homes, in hospital or at one of our hospices
The majority of EACH’s costs are not for specialist equipment, but for delivering the one-to-one nursing and supportive care so vital to the children, young people and their families. Here is what your money provides.............
- £10 Allows our Chef to prepare and cook meals for all family members staying at the hospice
- £20 Essential care kit for our nurses to use when providing care in the family home.
- £74 Two hours of bereavement support for all family members
- £148 Four hours of care at end of life
- £296 Eight hours of short break care
- £591 A children’s palliative care nurse for a week
.............YOUR SUPPORT REALLY MAKES A DIFFERENCE!
